The AFD supports and accelerates the transition to a fairer and more sustainable world. Focusing on climate, biodiversity, peace, education, urban development, health and governance, AFD teams carry out more than 4,000 projects in France’s overseas departments and territories and another 115 countries. In this way, it contributes to the commitment of France and French people to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Activities in Thailand:
The AFD is fighting against climate change and protecting the environment by encouraging the energy transition and giving guidance for urban development.
Along with the various private and public operators of the sector, AFD is organizing discussion workshops on the technical and financial aspects related to transportation. The first was held in Bangkok, on improving urban integration through transportation. The second was held in Phuket, where a tramway project is under review.
