Established in 1983 in Thailand by French expatriate entrepreneurs, Dextra is a world leading manufacturer of engineered steel and
fiber-reinforced polymer construction products with three main business lines:
- Concrete reinforcing connectors “Couplers” used for the connection of steel reinforcing bars in concrete structures.
- Post-tensioning, lifting and anchoring BarSystems used in roof structures, marine ports and bridge construction.
- Geotechnical ground and soil anchoring solutions made of steel or composite fiber materials, used in deep foundations and tunnelling.
Dextra manufactures in three locations (Thailand, China and India) and operates in all continents through a network of direct subsidiaries and long-term partners.
Dextra employs 900 professionals, out of which 500 are located in Thailand, which is the main manufacturing hub. During its near forty years history, Dextra has participated to more than fifteen thousand construction projects in 55 countries.
Dextra is proud to be the first manufacturer of products for civil works construction whose quality management system is ISO 19443 certified, in relation to civil nuclear safety.
ACTIVITIES IN THAILAND
Dextra is very active since its inception in the local construction industry in Thailand as a specialist manufacturer and provider of innovative engineered solutions to the building and public civil engineering sectors, which represents more than a thousand projects over the years.
Dextra cooperates with Thai and foreign contractors in several key infrastructure projects in Bangkok, such as Bangkok MRT lines, BTS lines, expressways, major roads and bridges projects, as well as Suvarnabhumi airport and on-going high speed rail projects.
